Introduction
The history of the Covenant has been relegated to the back burner in that body of study called “Christian Theology”. Few, if not any, theologians have given a clear explanation of the doctrine of the Covenant in the Scriptures; few theologians and students of the Bible, if not any, have unlocked the wonders of meaning that the Covenant of Grace, written by the hand of God, reveals to the faithful and to the righteous as God intended it to be.
The Covenant of Grace started before the creation. God declares in His Word that He created all things for His glory and He made it under a Covenant that from the beginning was decreed to be everlasting. Jehovah God, the living God, the Creator of heaven and earth, decreed this Covenant before time began to interact with His people forever. Faithful to His purpose, God never acts outside His Covenant.
The Everlasting Covenant is the glorious thread that weaves the history of creation and redemption together. It is the frame that surrounds the tapestry of time in the hand of the Creator. It is the decree uttered by the Divine with the sole purpose of saving a people for Himself.
Let us examine the truth of this Everlasting Covenant to see and understand the majesty and wisdom of the only God who has revealed Himself in the Scripture of truth.
